The UAE eInvoicing model places structured, machine-readable invoice data at the centre of the process. The change affects systems, customer records, tax codes and internal approvals, not just the invoice layout.
A PDF may remain a human-readable representation, but it is not a structured eInvoice by itself.
From a document to processable data
Every invoice field has a defined meaning, allowing systems to process supplier, buyer, line-item, tax and payment information automatically.
What should be prepared now?
- legal names, addresses and TRN records;
- product, service and tax-code master data;
- invoice types, currencies and payment terms;
- approval roles and error-handling processes;
- ERP, API and archiving requirements.
