1. Controller

2. Data we process

• Contact and meeting requests: name, company name, email address, phone number, topic, message, preferred time and meeting format, website language, and the time of consent together with the version of this notice in force at that time.
• Sign-in with Google or Microsoft: the name, email address and account identifier that the chosen provider shares with your approval. We never receive your password.
• ECQ NEXT registration and client relationship: company details and documents (trade licence, tax registration), identification data and documents of owners, managers and signatories (such as Emirates ID and passport), contact persons, and the records and data provided for accounting, tax and invoicing.
• ECQ NEXT card subscription: payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. From Stripe we receive the amount, time and status of the payment and the customer and subscription identifiers, which we use to issue the invoice.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, request time and security logs. The website stores your language choice in your browser (localStorage, "ecq-lang-pref").

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies and we do not build marketing profiles.

3. Purposes and legal basis

• Answering your enquiry and arranging a meeting: based on the consent you give when submitting the form.
• Preparing and performing a contract: accounting, tax and advisory services and operating your ECQ NEXT account.
• Complying with legal obligations, in particular customer due diligence and anti-money-laundering rules and tax and accounting record-keeping requirements.
• Protecting our systems and data, preventing misuse and establishing or defending legal claims.

You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it, or processing required by law.

4. Who has access

Only staff who need the data for their work can access it; access is role-based and logged. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. The following providers and recipients may receive data:

• Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany): servers of the ECQ NEXT platform.
• Google (Google Workspace): company email.
• Google and Microsoft: only if you sign in with your account.
• Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. and its affiliates): card payments and subscription management.
• Licensed professional partners (for example for legal or audit work): only on your instruction and to the extent necessary.
• Authorities such as the Federal Tax Authority (FTA): where required by law.

5. Transfers outside the UAE

Our providers may store data on servers outside the United Arab Emirates. Such transfers take place only under the conditions of the PDPL: to a country with an adequate level of protection, under contractual safeguards, or where the transfer is necessary to perform a contract.

6. How long we keep data

• Enquiries that do not lead to a client relationship: 24 months from the last contact, after which the data is deleted or anonymised.
• Client data: for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for the period required by law. Accounting and tax records are kept for at least 5 years, Corporate Tax records for 7 years, and customer due diligence records for 5 years after the relationship ends.
• Security logs: for as long as needed for security purposes.
• You can delete the language preference stored in your browser at any time.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). ECQ NEXT uses role-based permissions, two-factor authentication, audit logging and regular backups. Please do not send confidential documents in your first public enquiry; we will provide a secure channel when needed.

8. Your rights

Under the PDPL you may request:

• information about the data we process and access to it;
• correction of inaccurate data;
• erasure of your data where no legal retention obligation applies;
• restriction of processing, or object to it, in particular to direct marketing;
• transfer of your data to you or to another controller;
• withdrawal of your consent.

Send your request to [email protected]. After verifying your identity we will respond within 30 days at the latest.

If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.

9. Minors

Our services are intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 18.

10. Changes to this notice

We update this notice when our services or the law change; the date of the version in force is shown at the top of this page. Every form submission records which version you accepted.

Professional notice

Website content is general information and is not individual accounting, tax, legal or investment advice. Every decision requires professional review of the specific circumstances.

Where a service requires a separate licence or registration (such as statutory audit or legal representation), it is performed by an appropriately licensed partner.

ECQ NEXT

ECQ NEXT is under development. Live, legally effective invoice transmission will begin only after the required authorised service-provider framework and partner arrangements are in place. The demonstration on this website uses sample data.

Liability

We prepare and update the content with care, but laws and regulatory guidance change frequently, so we cannot guarantee that it is complete or current. Without an individual engagement we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of the general information on this website. The operators of linked external sites are responsible for their content.

Intellectual property

The texts and graphics of this website and the ECQ Dubai and ECQ NEXT names and logos belong to the company and may not be copied or distributed without prior written permission. Certification marks and partner logos belong to their respective owners.

Governing law

Use of this website is governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the laws of the Emirate of Dubai; the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute.
